Good luck favors the patient

The rules of the game are simple. Roll a regular dice. Depending on the result, with the rounded tip of a marker draw the dots  on the paper as they are carved on the dice. If the result is 2 or 3, draw the dots in a diagonal to the left or to the right depending on the way the dice fell. If you got a six, draw the tow rows of points vertically or horizontally, depending on the way the dice fell. You can start with the first space of the grid. Repeat the same procedure for 2640 and you will have hundreds of dots “dancing” al over the paper. What do you need to make a drawing? A dice, some free time, patience, a personal doses of concentration, and an overdose of talent.

So far, the dice has been rolled more than 31680. 2640for each drawing. What a waste of time! Why? It helps to cure anxiety while you look for a real job. To get bored or to have fun. To kill time. To exercise your patience, or to test it. To reach the nirvana. To fool around. Or just to enjoy playing with dots, paper, time and chance.

Once done, you can look at the drawings in many different possible ways. You can let your eyes drift trough the dots, you can see shapes, patterns, numbers, a database or whatever you can! Once again, it is necessary to take your time and some  patience to assimilate so much information provided by the drawings. You can count how many times you got a 6, a1, a 3, a 5, a 2 or a 4. You can look for repetitions, for sequences. You can even count each number and see which was the tendency of the dice. You can sum the amount of points to compare that number with the next drawing you do. You can also look for figures on the drawing, to look for paths, to look for 3d images or low resolution images...You can also think about the possibilities of repeating an exact drawing. Yo can do that and more, it you’re willing to take your time. With the dice and the marker in your hands, with the rules cleared, your free to start. And remember, good luck is for the patient ones!

Dadalas: ALEA JACTA EST COLOR

Choose 30 colors. Assign a color to each number from 1 to 30. Take a 3o0 sided dice. Roll the dice. Depending on the resulting number, take the marker corresponding to the color of that number, and fill the space in the grid. Repeat the process until the grid is filled with color, or until you want to!

Take your time, enjoy the process, relax and don't loose your mind! Remember that this is not a race!

You can decide a number of spins you will do to complete the drawing, or just spin it until you think it's completed. You can also do your drawing with assistance of others, or taking turns. you can also mix colors.

You are a Guggenheim artist, this is your chance to prove it!!!

Bus and subway drawings

Instructions: While commuting, take a piece of paper and a pen. Place the pen on top of the paper, allowing your hand to drift trough the paper until you reach your destination. For "better results" try not to look at the paper.
